SERVICES

Appointments
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency. If for some reason we are not available please contact our sister hospital Fairfield Animal Hospital 250-860-6550 they are available 24/7.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Ultrasonography
Dr. Reimer utilizes a state of the art, super high resolution, ultrasound machine that is not unlike what is found in today's human hospitals and clinics.  With this technology she can explore the inner workings of your pet without having to perform invasive surgery.  Examining your pet's abdominal organs, chest cavity and even monitoring their beating heart is made easy and pain free!

In House Laboratory
Our state of the art lab equipment allows our Doctors to perform rapid and diagnostic tests on your pets blood and urine.  This means we can obtain results more quickly which gives us the ability to begin treatment right away!

Surgical Procedures
All of our Doctors perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including: Spays, neuters, dentistry, gastrointestinal and soft tissue.  We are also pleased to refer your pet to Dr. Jitender Bhandal who is a Board Certified Specialty Surgeon who will be performing surgeries such as TPLO's (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) TTA's (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) and Spinal Decompression Surgery, to name a few, upon referral at Westbank Animal Care Hospital.
