Geri grew up on a farm in Vernon, B.C. She was very involved in the equestrian side of the farm and showed her horses in the hunter jumper side of things throughout Washington, B.C. and Alberta. First, moving herself and her horse to Vancouver where she started her degree in agriculture at UBC. She was then accepted to Veterinary medicine. In 1994 Geri received her degree in Veterinary medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. She then moved on to a one-year internship specializing in Equine medicine and surgery. Following this, she moved back home to Kelowna where she joined a mixed companion animal and equine practice. Geri practiced there for 5 years and then decided to move out on her own and start her own practice. On this path. Geri discovered her love and interest in small animal surgery and diagnostic ultrasound. She continues to increase her knowledge in these areas. In addition to Veterinary Medicine, Geri has a love for physical activity and nutrition. She enjoys running, biking and body building, as well as gardening and landscaping.
