Dr. Kathy was born and raised on a small hobby farm in Lynden, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology/ Pre-Vet at Dordt College in Iowa, then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University, where she graduated in 1992. After practicing in eastern Ontario for 6 years, Kathy moved to Kelowna. She has been with Central Valley Vet Hospital since 1998. In her spare time, Kathy can be found in her garden, sitting on her deck reading or spending time with her husband and adult children. Her favorite activities are snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking and camping. Currently, her furry family is limited to Evony the cat, and Millie the Golden Retriever.
