I grew up in Vancouver, BC. When I finished my Culinary training in 2004 I moved up to Kelowna and worked in the Restaurant industry for about 16 years and then Covid happened. Over those few months where we were all holding our breath, I got to use my Yoga teacher training to reset and really think about what I wanted from my life; How I wanted it to look, to feel and how I wanted to be. I had the time to author my life again. I had always had a love of animals and was fostering on and off with the Okanagan Humane Society. I decided to level it up, so I went back to school and trained to become a Veterinary Hospital Assistant. I started with Central Valley Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2021. It has been an amazing experience so far. I trust my team and the support from them has given me the confidence to go back to school this spring to train and become a Veterinary Technologist. My goal with every patient that visits our clinic is to give them a safe and positive experience and to show them that coming to the vet is a fun experience filled with pets and lots of treats. I live here in Kelowna with my fur family of 5 cats. Abby, my old lady, Christofur (pictured with me), Lorelai, Franklyn and Salem. I also have a very close relationship with my parents and my small group of human friends. With everything I do I come from a place of service. How can I be of greater service to myself, my community, my workplace and of course to my fur friends. Also, do things that scare you. They are worth it and help you to grow.
